Description
Downtown Boise viewed from the Union Pacific train depot, constructed in 1927. Capital Boulevard connects the depot with the state capitol building, modeled after the national capitol in Washington DC. Boise is the largest city in the state and home to Boise State University, with its famous blue football field, as well as headquarters to major corporations such as Micron and Boise Cascade. Boise has a lively art scene and is home to the largest settlement of Basque peoples outside the homeland between Spain and France. It is also the gateway to outdoor recreation, with Bogus Basic ski resort only 20 miles from the city and numerous wilderness areas nearby.

nice shot of entering Downtown Boise Mike. 💙
Mike Worley replied:
Thanks, Dennis. The view from the train depot has always been great but was much better before the high-rise buildings were put up along the left side of Capital Blvd.
